Traction Battery

A traction battery or EVB (Electric Vehicle Battery) is a rechargeable battery used in electric vehicles. These include forklifts, boats, trains.

A traction battery differs to other batteries as they are designed to give out power over a non-stop length of time. They are also designed with high amper –hour (or amp as commonly known) capacity and generally operate in environments where they need to withstand varying temperature ranges, shocks, vibrations and general everyday abuses.

Traction batteries can be used all day so they need to be fast charging to regain their power quickly.
